This Privacy Policy explains how Nirapad ("Nirapad", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, processes, and protects information when you use the Nirapad mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Nirapad is a digital document wallet designed to help users store, organize, manage, and access their important documents. Protecting personal information is an important part of how we develop and operate our Services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Nirapad, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Policy, subject to your rights under applicable law.

01Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide when registering for or using Nirapad, including your mobile phone number, name, profile information, and other account details.

When you upload or capture documents, we process the document images, associated metadata, document titles, categories, notes, and information extracted from those documents.

We may also process authentication and security information, including information needed for OTP verification, PIN-based access, session management, and prevention of unauthorized access.

Certain technical information may be processed to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the Services.

02How We Use Your Information

We use information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, store and retrieve documents, organize document information, and provide the features available within Nirapad.

Information may also be used to maintain service reliability, respond to support requests, investigate security incidents, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We may use information to improve the performance, usability, and security of Nirapad, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

03Document Storage and Ownership

Documents uploaded to Nirapad remain the property of their respective owners. Uploading a document does not transfer ownership of that document to Nirapad.

Nirapad processes and stores uploaded documents and associated information for the purpose of providing document management services.

Documents and related information may be stored using cloud infrastructure and storage providers that support the operation of Nirapad.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to upload and process the documents they submit.

04OCR and Artificial Intelligence Processing

Nirapad may use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to assist with reading documents, identifying document types, and extracting relevant information.

When a user requests intelligent document processing, document images or extracted text may be transmitted to service providers involved in performing the requested processing.

AI-generated or automatically extracted information may contain inaccuracies. Users should review important information before relying on it.

The handling and retention of information by AI and processing providers depends on the providers and service configurations used by Nirapad.

05Sharing of Information

Nirapad may share information with technology and infrastructure providers where necessary to operate the Services, including providers supporting cloud storage, authentication, communications, document processing, and artificial intelligence.

Such processing is intended to support the operation and delivery of Nirapad's features.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, a lawful request, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or maintain the security of the Services.

Any future document-sharing or institutional verification features will require corresponding updates to this Privacy Policy before they are introduced.

06Security of Your Information

Nirapad uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information and stored documents against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

These safeguards may include encryption, authentication mechanisms, access controls, and session management measures, depending on the relevant service and infrastructure.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should protect their devices, mobile phone numbers, PINs, and other authentication credentials against unauthorized access.

07Data Retention

Nirapad retains personal information and documents for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain account functionality, meet applicable legal obligations, and address legitimate security or operational requirements.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, its purpose, applicable legal requirements, and the systems involved.

Deletion requests may be subject to technical processing periods, backup retention practices, and applicable legal obligations.

08Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and available product functionality, users may be able to review, update, correct, or delete certain account information and documents.

Users may request assistance concerning their personal information, including questions about access, correction, or deletion, through Nirapad's contact email.

We will assess such requests in accordance with applicable law, account security requirements, and the technical capabilities of the Services.

09International Data Processing

Nirapad may use technology providers whose infrastructure or processing operations are located outside Bangladesh.

Where information is processed internationally, Nirapad will seek to apply safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and applicable legal requirements.

The countries involved in processing may depend on the infrastructure providers and configurations used by the Services.

10Children's Privacy

Nirapad recognizes the importance of protecting personal information relating to children and younger users.

Where additional consent, authorization, or protections are required under applicable law, Nirapad will seek to comply with those requirements.

Users should not submit another person's personal information unless they have the appropriate authority to do so.

11Changes to This Privacy Policy

Nirapad may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to its Services, technology, data practices, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated version will be published through the website, application, or other appropriate communication channels.

Where required by law, additional notice or consent may be obtained before materially different processing takes place.
